Hello Folks,

My application has been in process since April 2013 and it is still in Sydney (more than 7 months). What is the average wait I should expect before my file is transferred to local office. I see people with very short timeline is the forum.

Transfer 'speed' depends on your Local Office and how efficient/ what case load they have as well as if you are RQ'd. If you are lucky to be served by a 'fast' LO e.g Windsor and your case is straightforward you could transfer in less than 3 months after 'In Process' with test and oath soon after giving a total timeline of 8-10 months. LOs out west in the prairies, the maritimes and Quebec are in the 'slow' lane with tranfers seeming to be around the 8-15 month time from 'In Process'.
