Hello Metsfan

Thanks for your response.

They did not ask for the removal fees. They asked for the right to permanent residence fees (RPRF) or the landing fees last month (Aug 2016). It is a refundable fee which is refunded if your application is rejected.

I paid the ARC fees of $400 per person last year in Aug 2015 with my ARC application.

Thanks
Mrp

It seems that different VOs have different processing times. Based on what I've read here Beijing is one of the fastest.
Which visa office did you send your documents to?

:)

Thanks Reayath. I really am hoping that it is a good sign. You are right each visa office is different and my visa office is London. It is taking very long in this case as I submitted everything last year in Aug.

Hopefully the wait will be worthwhile if we get a positive response.

Did you get a passport request and ARC approval by email?
Thanks
Mrp

:)

lol i thought RPRF stood for RePayment of Removal Fees

well if you were removed on gov't expense, you will def have to pay back either $750 if removed to the U.S or $1500 per person for other parts of the world.

No problem mate.

We paid our removal cost so I guess we wouldn't have to pay that.

The wait us agonizing. I hope we all get a positive response soon.

Hi everyone.
I just wanted to share good news. My husband's Arc was finally approved today, after 9 moths at Vienna office. Couldn't be happier ;D
Now we are waiting for COPR letter.
Good luck to everyone waiting! The time will come.

OMG!
Makes me think we should have applied from Beijing it seems!

I have no news from my case either! I have no idea how long this will take. It's been 1.5 months since they asked for our ARC fees so far!

Guess what? My ARC was approved today!!!!!!
It took 1 week to process the application after the interview, i still cannot travel unless i receive the final stage confirmation from the immigration but at least the hardest part is finally over.

Congrats! :) I bet it's such a relief!

Which VO did you apply from and how long did the whole process take for you?
May I ask what kind of questions they asked you at the interview?

Cheers,

Mrp

I'm very much relieved from this situation and for once things are in order now.

I found out by an email from my lawyer who is in Canada, all the correspondene goes to his office by email or the post.
He received the approval from the embassy via email and forwarded the message.
It took 7 days to reach a decision and i never sent any inquiry nor my lawyer did.

Regarding the PPR, i dont know how this will work, i'm from a visa exempt country so do they request a passport or they just hand out te COPR?

Anyway i have to wait now for the CSQ now which should be delivered soon.
