Hey Guys!
Just checking in to see if anyone had any update as of recent. One year since my last update and since then just waiting on the security part like why would it take sooooo long? Anyway, just want to see if any of you've heard of anything.
No updates yet. The last one was in June, my husband's application is still stuck in the background check. Frustrating.
Hi Guys
Does anyone know the difference
in my ATIP notes it shows: Location: E-Grant clearance pending
my friend almost the case as me and the same situation shows: E Grant review ready PM01
any clue about the difference
another question
Does anyone see anything in his ATIP note related to the ICES request?
regards
any update on your file?
Today marks 12 months since our AOR, and my husband is still stuck in the background check stage with no updates since June. What frustrates me the most is the lack of communication from IRCC. We pay a lot for this process, it's not like it's free. We deserve better communication throughout. Our PR process was also a nightmare—feeling really disappointed.

I’m so sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, I have heard of a few people in the same boat as you both from personal connections and the citizenship community. You can check other cases that might be taking as long on this tracker here, I don’t think it’s as uncommon as you might think:

Very frustrating though! Maybe ordering GCMS notes or calling could help to get some clarity about why it’s been taking so

We asked for our GCMS notes about two months ago, but there wasn’t anything useful in them. My husband’s application is still “Pending for clearance,” and mine is just sitting there, waiting for his to go through. We’ve reached out to our MP, but they’re getting the same answer as us—that IRCC is still waiting on an external organization to finish the background check. I just don’t get why it’s taking so long, especially since they supposedly did this not too long ago for the PR.

You can separate your application from the family application and let it complete.
Hello guys, I received my oath ceremony invite in person in Vancouver yesterday. The Oath day will be Oct 8, 2024
Anyway, my wife application is still stuck, they only process my file after separation.
Thanks to all for helping along the way. Good luck to you who are still waiting.
I really want you to get what you deserve. This is not fair for you guys.

We're in the same boat as you guys. Wife's clearance got done right away while hasn't moved since Oct 23. Waiting without any communication whatsoever and why is this external organization taking so long. Anyway, wishing it moves fast for us both and everyone else here.

We got a GU last week, but nothing has changed. Did you have one as well?

Yes. I also got the GU but nothing changed. Called IRCC and they said BG and Prohibitions still in progress. Just wait (or die waiting )

Got a FP request again. Its been one year now since the first FP.

If background doesn't complete it will keep repeating as it's valid for a year

Same here. On my tracker only the test was marked as completed. It's been 13 months since AOR and 12 months after the test. I wrote to the local MP in May, who contacted IRCC only to find that "Security is in progress and all other assessments are not yet started. This is normal ... as majority of applications are having delays with security processing at the moment." I compared my GCMS notes in April and Sept, and nothing was different. It is so frustrating that the process takes so long when the average processing time now is just 6 months.
