I havent seen an oath invite from Montreal. What's happening at the MTL office?

Someone told in the forum that there is construction holiday during this time in Montreal. Irrelevant of it now its summer time hence no invite not only from MTL but also from WIN hence thinking mostly they are off now before school starts. So one more month or two to wait on next wave of invites.

It's a petition, not an ad.
But anyway, I don't think IRCC would even care unless the vast majority of Canadians sign up.

Its a petition. And every bit helps. Plus its free. I just put my signature, for whatever its worth!
Important to note that I recently saw few frustrated members in the early-mid 2019 forum who have 0 progress and were contemplating suing IRCC. I can only hope that we don't reach that level of stress.

Can this be even done or just an expression of frustration? I mean, sue them on what ground? IRCC has vague rules that give them so much power to do whatever they want without being held accountable.

This could be coincidence and as much as some people might say that speaking to an MP doesn't do too much, i've been waiting for my aunt's application to move for a long time and watching others that have submitted their applications after hers progress, well we spoke to the MP on Wednesday and miraculously, two days later, we are now at decision made as of this morning

how long does is take for next step after background processing is set to complete ? i am assuming next step is to get an invite for citizenship test. right ? should i start preparing finally?

Good question.
I doubt that we will be successful because they have their policies with all terms and conditions and with all exclusions and exemptions(which favour just them), just like any private company which has the policy just to cover their base(Not the clients/employees).

You should expect a test invite anytime now. May want to start, but you get a 21 day window to complete the test which is more than sufficient. You can make it quicker by reading through the notes prepared by beloved @rajkamalmohanram here
