today is my birthday and i made the mistake of telling someone that i wished that people in this forum will search their questions and not be lazy before asking the same question that was posted just two messages before..... now its not gonna come true
Happy birthday! and yes, after MEP everyone has a panic situation. It feels like sitting on the toilet without toilet paper. No wonder people are losing their sh*t over this entire immigration thing and asking every possible question without doing research but it will soon be over.

What do you guys think about August AORs in terms of the timeline. Appears that most are still in IP1 stage (correct me if I'm wrong). Given the timelines from previous months, it appears August is moving rather slowly. Any ideas/perspectives ?
I wouldn’t say so. My background is now in “processing” and has been like that before passing my medical. There is really no order, it just so happens the trend is medicals first.
I submitted in August, passed my medical within 3 weeks, biometrics requested the same day, 1 week later I done the biometrics and on the same day is stated “complete”. I wouldn’t say August is slow at all, in fact, I bet some are still at IP1 and still haven’t passed their medicals or if they have, no change to IP2.

Agreed. Since introduction of biometrics, it has become more difficult to predict the stage of the process. But i noticed that biometrics have sped up the process.

The one thing that just isn’t clear to me is; IP1 and IP2.
My profile states it’s in processing which I assume is IP2. Reasons being is because first time I submitted, it was cancelled as I missed a document out and this showed “in progress” at that point and I hadn’t even passed my medicals.
In regards to Biometrics, I agree it quickens up the process. It helps them to assess more accurately.
Biometrics speeds things up since it clears you of all the ''potential" matches which maybe a security threat to Canada. It basically gives the strongest form of ID to CIC for them to 'clear' you of all security issues.

That's where the problem lies. IRCC doesn't have any such stages. IP1 and IP2 is made by us. In progress 1 and in progress 2. Whilst most may see these changes in their profiles, others do not.

I thought this was the case. PPR will be next I hope. I don’t bother to look in my account much. It will change when it changes. No calling immigration or offices around the globe.

My logic is that if they require biometrics from you, they can’t proceed. To me, that sounds as though they want to proceed to the next step and have already verified the majority of information and now need to make the rest once bio’s are complete.
