I sent my app in. It was received Aug 14. Just 10 days ago. Will keep you guys posted. We are sponsor and applicant both out side CAN with 2 infants with CAN passports.

My sponsor lives with me out-land. I wondering if we need to submit a use of representative form since my sponsor and I have the same address. Do we also need to submit the authority to release information form?

Please advise. I would be profoundly grateful

Has anyone who applied in August received confirmation that their application was approved?

I received text confirmation that my application was received Aug 08. Still no word whether it has been approved or rejected though. Feels like I've been waiting for a year.

I know it takes 4 to 6 weeks, if anyone hears back let us know.

Just sent my application in today. Sprinted to the post office to try get there before 5pm today and realised they close at 9 haha

You will only need to list your trips and anyone you are inclding on your application (e.g your kids etc , if applicable). Since your wife is just a sponsor, she is not a part of your application. Therefore, her trips don't need to be included. Hope it helps.

hi..as far as i know you only use that form if you actually use an agent..if youre filling it out yourselves you dont need to. i live with my husband outside of Canada and we filled in our application and didnt fill in either of those forms.

i defer to anyone else who knows better than i. thanks.

Thank you. I decided not to include it. However, I completed the Authority to release personal information form so that my sponsor can have access to my application info.
