Hi all I'm wondering about the ID part of the online test. My wife used her PR card as a ID, but it mentions about having to have a signature on the card. Can someone tell me if the name under the photo is considered a signature. Thanks

Got my fingerprints taken today. The lady said the wait time for Vancouver seemed to be between 3-5 business days for processing if you had no criminal record (I don't) right now.
Got my test invite today, it says I have from June 14 - July 4 to write the test. I'm currently in the US and I plan on making a quick trip to Canada to write the test. Anyone knows the covid rules concerning travelling to Canada? Can I enter Canada and leave within 24 hours?
I'll appreciate your responses... thanks.

You are required to quarantine upon entering Canada for 14 days as of right now. So you would be breaking quarantine by then returning to the border same day, flagpoling has been banned since the border closed and this is essentially what you'd be doing so I wouldn't attempt it under the current rules. BUT it looks like there may be an announcement this Friday that would benefit you so hang tight 'til the end of the week for more info! Good luck!

FALSE. You can return before the 14 day quarantine period if you are coming by car. Only catch is you would have to go directly to the place of quarantine and not travel to any other place. You should be fine as long as you quarantine for your entire stay in Canada. You are a PR obviously, so no one can deny you entry citing non-essential reasons!!

Thank you. I spoke to a CBSA officer about an hour ago. He mentioned that it is not considered "breaking my quarantine" if the purpose of breaking it is to leave the country, therefore, I can break my 14- day quarantine to leave Canada. He also mentioned I will be required to stay in a government-mandated hotel for 3 days if I fly into the country, so my best option is to drive into Canada, do my test and maybe return the following day.
Like you said, I will hold on till the weekend before I make any decision regarding my travel

Thank you for this. A CBSA officer just confirmed it as well. Driving into Canada is the best way to go. It's not considered a breech of the quarantine rule if you are breeching it by leaving the country. I can rest easy now.

1. Does anyone know how long it is taking, on average, to be invited for the Oath Ceremony after you take the Online Citizenship Test?
2. I've seen some notes on the tracker spreadsheet about being called for Interviews. Is that an additional step between the test and the Oath Ceremony? I wonder if there is any other step where I'd have to be physically in Canada other than the Citizenship test and the Oath Ceremony.

1. No body knows, it probably depends on the case & the office handing it.
2. Again, it depends on the office / officer, they may or may not call you for an interview. You have to be present in Canada for interview as well.
