Not a major update from me but my wife had FP request done in August and I forgot to follow up with IRCC to ensure that they had received them. Sent a web form today to make sure they got them and got a response back a couple of hours later to say they they did. Still no test invite yet but at least I know the FP request was all good.
Hi all,
I am thinking maybe my posts do not show for anybody! Can someone tell me how you would be notified of your test date? Do they email you or send a mail? I have asked this question multiple times and nobody replies!!
In my case, I didn't receive any thing (email neither letter) just they added a line on my ecas. I spoke to many people during the test and most of them are in my case, they discover that they have a test by consulting their ecas.
Strangely, I received an email with the test invite but so far my ecas does not show anything regarding the test. Maybe it takes a number of days to update?

Surely. Every day, I consulted my email (inbox, spam/junk) without any positive sign. When we passed the test, in the entrance, an agent from cic spoke to us to form two lines, one formed by people who received the invitation (letter or email) and an other line without invitation. With invitation letter, there are maybe 20 people and without invitation letter (found in ecas only) are more than 40 people. For our line, he took our PR card to check if we are in the list of the test and after that he returned us our PR card and he allowed us to enter to the local where we found a woman with the list of people allowed to passed the test and I asked her why we didn't receive the invitation by letter or email and she told me that this problem is frequent these days but I didn't find any problem to pass the test and the interview.
Although we informed cic and local office that he is going on a 3 month vacation back home on November 18th, he got the test invite for November 15th. So still good..
Can he inform the interviewing officer that he is going for the vacation for 3 months so it does not co-incide with the oath ceremony (hopefully he will clear the test )?
