Received my approval in principle and a request to submit my medical and background checks. My application status says "Application Received." I am wondering what the processing time after submitting the paperwork requested is?? What is approval in principle anyways? Have they even reviewed my application yet?
I'm ready for this process to end, curious if anyone can share their timelines after the submission of the paperwork post the AIP.

Could be weeks or even months before they finalize your application. You've completed stage I. That is one step closer. No, they haven't looked at your part of the application yet. AIP essentially means they have approved your sponsor and now you'll have to be checked/vetted thoroughly before they approve you.
Why didn't you do your medical and send in your pcc's when you submitted your application? Now you'll have to wait to get both of those items sent in before they will even begin to look at your portion of the application.
If it's any consolation, AIP also means that your relationship with your sponsor has been verified (not so for an Outland applicant). Now, it's a matter of determining your admissibility (medical, security and background checks).
