Applying Spousal PR while I (Sponsor) is Outside Canada

Hi,

I am planning to apply for Outland Spousal PR Application. My Spouse location is USA.

I have recently applied for Canada Citizenship and received AOR and my application is still In-Process.

So I have 2 concerns, to be answered:

1. Currently I am in USA, visiting my Spouse and will be staying here for few weeks. Can I (Sponsor) apply for the Spousal PR while physically present in USA?

2. Once I am back in Canada, can I still travel outside of Canada, while Spousal PR application is In-Process ?

1. You must be in Canada
2. A short trip is typically overlooked but as a PR you are expected to remain in Canada to sponsor a spouse.
