Apply for a study permit after MPNP is approved

I have a Post graduation work permit. My Pnp is approved and my work permit expires in September this year. I want to start studying full time from next year fall. Is it okay If I apply for a study permit while waiting for My PR card.Please help me.

If it is under 6 months you are fine.
