Applying for dependent for study permit

I received my study permit for my 1 year post graduation course for may 2023 intake. I want to bring my husband with open work permit along. Is it advisable to apply for him when I'm still outside Canada? Also, while applying for Study permit I gave the option as NO for dependent travelling along.
what is the success rate if this is the case?

You should start the OWP as soon as possible because processing can be around 6 months. Impossible to say what chances of approval will be.
