We have applied for our PR VISA but till date no notice of interview date.
I applied in 2001 Dec. Only got letter that interview required.
Mr. Cohen, my question to you is ..my son wishes to do his undergraduation from Canada. That would be somewhere in 2005 sep. Should he apply as an international student?? as applications to colleges have to be made a year in advance. What will happen if he gets admission as international student and then I get my PR VISA??
Could there be any problems for him?? Would it be right to apply as an international student to start with? All this is very confusing Pls. give your advice
We are in the same boat as you. We applied for PR two years ago and recently had the interview waived and did our medicals. But our daughter is scheduled to begin college in Canada this September, and since we can't count on having final aproval for PR by then, it looks as if we need to go ahead and apply for a student visa for her as well. We are going to try to call the Detroit consulate with some questions, as we too are confused about this whole thing, how to manage landing once PR status is gained, how to handle mom's presence in Canada with the student, etc. I'll let you know if I learn more.
