I have applied in university of Waterloo for undergrad admission as an international student. I have not got a letter of acceptance for Fall 2015 session yet as i submitted my application close to admission deadline. In the mean time my dad PR application has been approved and our family is landing in Ontario (PNP) in the first week of June from Asia. I would not need study permit/visa in this case. If I get an admission in the university as an international student. Would university charge me International student fee or they would charge me Canadian fee? Should I inform university once I have PR status?
Has anyone faced the same situation? What is the solution?
No - they won't charge you international fees once you have PR. Email the school and ask them what the procedures is for converting your status from international student to PR.
Thanks Scylla for quick reply. I have not got the offer yet and next round of offers will be made in mid-May as per university web site. Should I wait for the offer or intimate university immediately about my future PR status(this is June 2015)? Is there advantage of informing university now in term of admission offer/quota (international vs local)?
