My pgwp approved no wp- ext letter so dont worry also my biometric updated 5days after submission.....thanks

Working while waiting for the post graduate work permit

You may be allowed to work full-time in Canada if you are waiting for a decision on your post graduate work permit (PGWP) application and you:

• Had a valid study permit when you submitted your application,
• Completed your program of study, and
• Were eligible to work off campus without a work permit while studying and you didn’t work more hours than you were allowed to.

If these conditions apply to you and you need to prove to an employer that you’re eligible to work, provide the employer with a copy of all the required documents.

If these conditions don’t apply to you, you must wait until your work permit arrives to begin your new job. It’s illegal to work in Canada without authorization.

If we refuse your work permit, you must stop working the day we notify you.

If you received the WP-EXT for PGWP (IMM 0127 E) letter

You’re authorized to work until a decision is made on your work permit application, even if the validity period has expired. If you need proof of authorization to continue working, you can ask for it by using the IRCC Web form.

If your application for a PGWP is rejected or refused, you need to stop working the day we notify you of the rejection or refusal.

I have also applied for WP extension on Aug 26. It is still in progress. I did not receive any letter just like most of us. I had to resign from my job as I could not provide any proof of maintained status. The manager wanted a letter or the Extended WP. Could not get them from IRCC as the agent said it is still in progress and you should only work if you get either approval on WP or the letter itself.
I am all okay to wait for a confirmation than to risk it with some info on the webpage.

I applied for pgwp on May 13 but havent got the PGWP EXTEND LETTER as well, is anyone facing the same long duration that im experiencing? Is there any benefit in raising the webform? Pls do let me know. A humble sincere request. Since im tensed with my scenario because all of friends who applied after me also recieved the letter but i havent still recieved the letter.
Pls help me.

Oh yea. The mix up wasn’t actually my fault. The school gave me a letter to clarify. Although my study permit has expired. Wanted to restore status and re-apply for pgwp attaching the letter from school.

But you cannot work until PGWP is approved so you will not get WP.ext.

If your study permit expired and/or program ended within 90 days all you can do is restore status and wait for response. You cannot work. It is right on the PGWP site. If it is more than 90 days since expiry/program completion then you cannot restore status at all and cannot apply for PGWP within Canada.
