How are you all? We have got decent jobs here in Canad and are kind of settling down.
I have a concern. We have a wedding to attend in US in May 2013. Is it possible for us to get US visa now, if not then is there any other way we can go there for short visit? We are in Canada from June 2012.

[Dear forum members ,I had received this reply in response to my inquiry as I applied on 19/5/2011,LVO,PER on12/7/2011 In process 19/6/2012/ MR 2/8/2012 done on 26/8/2012 3rd line on ecase 10/9/2012 all forms sent with medical together with proof of funds another PC requested on 20/9/2012 sent after 3 days I sent last inquiry and I received this reply after 5 weeks could you please explain what the meaning of initial background checks, Please be advised that your file is awaiting officer review following completion of initial background checks , Why he sent the medical expiry date . We will be in contact with further information once this review is complete.
Medical results have been assessed and are valid until 2013/09/10.

they have mentioned medical expiry date because you may land before the expiry of your medical and they usually close the case atleast 4-6 months before the landing date, so they may be in the process to send you PPR 1 very soon
