shirinsyeda,
I have one year house job experience. I have applied in 14th Nov.09. Still waiting for AOR.
Worried about Job descriptions bez of my employer didnt mentions all JDs in my experience letter.
One mistake I have made during filling application forms I did not write all JDs. I just write code 3112 and with in four lines I tried to cover all duties. thats all.
I hope they will accept your house job if it is paid.
Except House Job, I have one year MCPS training without paid but i dont think they will accept it.
Please advise if you have good news about my house job and training experience
Hello Seniors,
During filling application forms, I wrote few job duties with in given four lines.
Now I am bit worried that CIC will reject my application bez of my all job duties are not given by me.
please guide me
Hamid

In my opinion u have to wait for their reply. If they approve n when u send full application to ur local CHC be careful to describe ur JDs. If they dont approve (extremely rare chances of doing that)u can apply again this time writing ur JD properly.
doc28 thank you very much.

@hamid, thanks for your reply.. Dr hamid i have made the same mistake , thats why im worried too. i didnt write my job duties too.. also from this forum through senior members i learned that 1 year house job is countable. which i didnt mention in my applicaton. besides this i have also 1 year experience as GP.. i mentioned only this 1 year exprience. if i get the AOR by the grace of allah i think will update this in my new application. hope allah will help us and all of us will get the positive result..thanks to all of the members for giving us support .
@dr hamid123, probably unpaid taining is not counted by them, i have also 1 year training in Obg department, i mgoing o submit those papers too though we r not going to get any point for these training. i m now studying in US under F1 visa status for USMLE do u think i would get any point for this 1 year fulltime study?
shirinsyeda, Thanks for reply. According to doc28 opinion "we have to wait for their reply. If they approve n when we send full application to ur local CHC be careful to describe ur JDs. If they dont approve (extremely rare chances of doing that)We can apply again this time writing ur JD properly".
I think we have to wait for their reply.
About any unpaid training, I think it depends on profession. In our profession in most countries Doctors training is unpaid for example in Pakistan house job training is unpaid and even MCPS training. But we can apply or claim points bez of these training was full time and we are doing same duties which are given by CIC web. Lets see what they will do..............
shirinsyeda @ Dr. Mary she is from pakistan, completed her one year house job training, one year medical officer and two years derma training, applied in OCT 09 but she is still waiting for AOR. better ask from her. bez her house job and two years derma training was not paid and she has same JDs problems. according to Dr. Mary hospital is not willing to giving experience letter according CIC JDs and doc28 replied her to get reference letter from senior or friends.
About USMLE really i dont know about it.
Dr.hamid thank you very much sir.
My comments on paid vs unpaid job experience is that if u can write in detail the type and nature of job and get it signed by ur senior who maY be the supervisor the gp clinic owner or any person in a senior capacity in the same setting , then i thinkl there should be no problem in getting ur experiebnce approved .but for now u should wait for the initial approval from ns and than proceed ahead. and i think we will be able to guide u than. and hamid is right, a lot of doctors doing full time mcps, residency are unpaid and they become specialist after this training
best of luck.

All doctors ...Attention Please
Dear All Doctors ,
I have following queries, Please reply
1- Instead of both refernce letter and experince certificate, can I take one reference letter from my previous employer describing, job period, my duties, salary wtc , in this month date ( means employer will write date of issue of ref letter of this month NOT dates of 10 years before when I was doing job there) ...IS it acceptable?
2- should i send refrnce refernce leetr original or photocopy?
3- As now I am self employed family physician, I am also sending my last 5 years tax returns, should i send tax return original or photocpies , attested by notary public?
4- next question is about MCCEE , what is procedure? any centre is pakistan? what r recommended books and course .
Thanks
Dear dr aamir regarding ur first qs you can put a fresh date in the letter. For mccee it is held in Pakistan you have to get yourself registered with pcrc ( see page 2 of this forum).. And go through the pcrc and mcc( medical council Canada) web sites for details . Doc
Dear dr aamir,
CIC will fax same experience letter to your employer. Experience in last ten years will be accepted only. Better before puting dates on your experience letter, discuss with issuing authority or person.
i think they will accept attested photocopies of tax returned, payslips, contract letters and letter from HR stated that your work was paid. otherwise they will reguest or might be call regarding you experience to confirm..........that work was full time nd paid.
job descriptions are important rather than your paid work bez of our profession, differ than others professions.
what do you think. please let me know bez my two years experience was not paid but i am doctor doing same jobs like senior consultants.
dr hamid

1. Yes it is acceptable.
2. better send the refence letter in original
