Hi Guys, I received my PPR yesterday morning at 8am.
Thanks for all those wonderful useful posts.

I have one small Question, hope I can use your expertise.

I recently renewed my open work permit and got extended to August 2017.
And I did not renew my VISA as i was not going out of Canada.
Should i Renew my Visa before I send the Passport for PR?

No, you dont need to renew your visa. Visa is just a document for entering the country. You will get your PR visa for landing.

Congratulations on your fast process. I am just wondering if the CIC profile got approved/updated before we do the landing? I was always thinking that our PR process is done only we successfully do landing.

In your case, you havent finished landing yet right?

I just wanna know how long it will take for visa stamps/COPR as I have sent it to SGVO 2 weeks and havent heard anything. I am wondering what I should expect. I have a business trip on Nov 25 so I desperately need my passport back by that time

I don't think it's totally reliable. My CIC info says the same now, "The application has been approved" and all that, but I definitely haven't landed *yet*. My CoPR is waiting in my mailbox, I'll drive to the border and do the landing some time this week.

PPR means passport request... its last step toward your PR, CIC request your passport for Visa and CORP...
Please share your timeline so we can assist you more!!!
and also no need to get nervous... if your application is straight forward you will receive PR within 6 month time-frame!!!!

Cool.. you are in safe hands my friend.. you have received passport request!!!

Usually once they receive you passport and visa is stamped , you will get update on your online account with application being approved!!!

This link was sent today by a cic officer as a response on my question about changing the contact information. As I understand, via this link you might change your address directly, whereas IRCC Webform is more of requesting a change by an officer and it takes 10 business days.

Hi Guys,

I received Passport request and have sent my passport and photos to Ottawa. The back of the photo has the name and complete address of the photo studio along with the date when the photo was taken. However, I forgot to write my name and dob behind the photo.

I am not worried about my application?

Hi Shweta,

Mine BG check also changed to 'in progress'. Most people are reporting the same on other forums for Pretoria VO. Hopefully PPR is on the way!!!!!
