Well, seems like I am the only one in the list whose Background Check changed from "In progress" to "not needed at this time".

They requested some documents from me, but it was like almost 3 weeks ago, its like that since then even after submission of documents.

I haven't had any sort of communication since Oct 3rd. No email, no updates, nothing. I lost ECAS in November and never got it back. Interestingly, in my gcms notes the due date for eligibility assignment was set to Dec 2016.

Guess what? in just 15 hours everything has changed. I'm almost certain same thing gonna happen to most of you waiting.

Any ideas of why this has changed? Anybody got the same situation before PPR?

Yes, I have this situation with Background Check. It went from "In Progress" to "Not needed at this time". My medical says "Pass".

Thanks Doda, it's getting tougher to remain positive. The worry starts to kick in that maybe they will reject the application or take another 6 months to process it.

I am trying to stay calm and positive. This forum is a two-edged sword - its encouraging as we get to see our fellow applicants get good news, and it's discouraging as we also see people from October getting processed before us and that makes us start to worry.

I'm praying all of the stragglers on the list get good news before the end of this month! C'mon CIC, get the finger out and start sending those PPRs to us Septemberians!

Ceedly, stay strong. You could get it today, tomorrow, anytime. You see, when I was asked to pay RPRF on Monday, I wasn't expecting PPR today but here we are, right. Please keep the hopes up. I totally understand how it can be in the last days. I will be waiting for your good news.

A really strange thing just happened...

I logged into MyCIC (only for the 17th time today) and when I logged in, under the "Details" column, it read "Your Action is Required". When I clicked into the application, there were no changes and when I returned to the previous page, the Details field had changed back to "Submitted".

It literally just showed for an instant. I've logged out and back in again but it still says Submitted.

Any thoughts?

It means somebody is working on your file. Hopefully a PPR soon.

Ceedly, keep an eye on your email account. Passport request does not come on cic, it is sent through email.

Anyone has done appeal before? How can I appeal?
I was refused because they said I don't have 2 year experience as I claimed in the application, reason being i was a student before June 2014 (wrong, I graduated in June 2013) and work permit was issued in June 2014 (wrong, it was Aug 2013)

I cannot imagine they can make such mistake!!!Nothing related to appeal in the refuse letter... Omg

I have called call centre, they said I can do web form for enquiry, which I have done.
But it will take another month for them to reply to web form enquiry...

Anyone knows about any appeal # I can call? Or other way I can ask question and can get quicker response?
