I believe its probably "On Hold" as they have requested docs from you.

It should go back to open once you submit the requested doc

I hope so. One weird thing is my Med passed during the weekend...after my status changed to on hold...

Certainly not normal. I had received RCMP request as well and my status was still Open, review in progress. Never heard anyone who got on Hold status.

More experienced people, please comment on this one.

Are you a PNP candidate ? Maybe they are checking with PNP office or doing security check side by side

I got a msg to submit RCMP last Friday, and my application/profile status has changed from open to on hold...

I am worried about the on hold status...Is it normal? Shouldn't the profile status stay at open all the time...

As per the HELP on the MyCIC page:

Your application may be open, closed, or cancelled.

"Open" means that IRCC has received your application. When we begin to process your file, you will be notified of a change in your application status through your account.

"Closed" means that a final decision has been reached on your application. You will be notified of this decision through your account.

"Cancelled" means that, before a final decision was made, we determined that we did not need to process your application. This could be due to one of the following reasons:

an administrative error was made and your application needs to be re-created by us, or
we determined that you do not need the status/document for which you applied.
If you believe we made an error when your application was cancelled, please let us know by using the case-specific enquiry form.

There is no ON HOLD status for PR under EE... Are you sure you are not looking at your BOWP application instead? If not then it's a system glitch... just recheck tomorrow or once you've submitted your docs.

Thanks for checking the information for me.

The on hold status is under my EE application, and I didn't apply for BOWP. I should be able to get the RCMP done this week, and will see how it goes next week. Hopefully the status can change back to open.
