Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Help po. Anong branch po ng BDO and tried and tested na po for GIC wire transfer? Metro Manila area po sana.

I’m from Ilocos Norte po, pero tinatanong kasi nila kung bakit daw po address ko dito sa Pinas ang ilalagay ko sa Beneficiary’s Address, sa Field59 po. Naka-print po ‘yong ni-send ng Scotia na info pero ayaw pa din po kasi baka ma-reject lang daw po sa head nila.

Pinapabalik po ako pero dapat daw po may proof or explanation po ako na address ko talaga dito sa Pinas ang magagamit, and kung may mga successful na daw po bang gumawa nun at anong branches daw po ng BDO.

Help naman po sa mga nakapag-successful wire transfer na through BDO po.

Hello maam about sa show money po ba iyon? Hntayin natin ung mga expert about sa ganyan.. case ko namn is not qualified ako sa gic. So ang ginawa ng agency ko is nag show money tlga ako under my bank iba pa ung sponsor's..

Hi, is anyone here applying for a study permit via the SDS? What are the odds of approval if you already paid one year worth of tuition and a GIC worth 10k CAD? I would appreciate if anyone who got their study permit via SDS would share their experience. I'm waiting for my university acceptance letter to start by Winter 2020. Thanks!

Hi.. Yung account ko before is sa BDO kaso maproseso sila, so I opted to open an account with BPI. Yes address po dito sa Pinas yung ilalagay sa Beneficiary info... If I were you lang po, sa BPI Island ka na lang magpa wire since wala silang gaanong tanong sayo and that same day marerecieve ng Scotiabank yung wired money. And any branch pwede ka mag wire transfer as long as may account ka sakanila. Sa BDO kasi required pa na dollar account before makapag wire...

Received the result August 19. Unfortunately, I was refused. Ground for refusal: purpose of visit.

I believe my refusal was because my parents and younger brother are already in Canada as Permanent residents, that gives me weak ties to country of residence.

Requested for my CAIPS notes just to be sure. I believe I needed a very strong SOP and show more properties under my name I am planning to re apply again for Winter semester.

Sorry to hear about your refusal. I'm worried because your case is similar as mine – my brother and sister-in-law are both in Canada and are already naturalized Canadian citizens. Perhaps the best course of action would be to submit a very strong and convincing SOP that states your strong ties to your home country.

Yeah, I really have to come up with a strong and convincing SOP. Hoping to receive my Caips notes after a month so I still have enough time to prepare for my SOP and other necessary documents.

Sa BPI po kasi kailangan pang maghintay ng 6 months after ka mag-open ng account before ka po makapag-wire transfer.

for GIC, ang pera dapat galing sa bank account ni student mismo, you have to transfer CAD 10,200 , yung 200 is service charge. I did mine with BDO and it went well.

Share ko lang, I processed my GIC at BPI. Less hassle sa kanila. In my case, they only asked for a copy of my LOA and a copy of the list of requirements for a study permit (GIC account should be in the list of requirements). Screenshot ko lang from my phone then print and handed it to the assisting BPI officer. Alam na rin nila ang process nang pag transfer. Bigay mo lang yung instructions provided by Scotiabank.

Oh I see. I forgot to mention po pala na I already have an existing BPI savings account kaya di hassle sa part ko
