I'm sure in a way it's nice to hear SOME news although probably not the exact news you want to hear. You've been waiting a long time so hopefully they contact you guys soon with the interview date. Let me know if you have any questions about the interview or need some tips.

Thanks guys. It's really not what I wanted to hear, and to be honest we weren't expecting an interview just based on our relationship. We lived together in DR for two years before we got married, we have a lease together with our names on our apartment and other stuff. But immigration is unpredictable!
Hopefully the interview won't be too far into the future.

I moved to DR 7 months after meeting him, 4 months after we decided to make it a serious relationship, and I lived there until July of last year. We had decided since we were getting married in October, that I would return to Canada, to go back to work full time and prepare for our future in Canada basically. ugh! I'm so annoyed!!

Look at it as a positive. Everybody I know, who's had to go through an interview usually have PPR within 2-3 weeks after the interview. So once you know the date, you can pretty much figure out when you and hubby will be together, because everything will be okay and your husband will kick ass answering all those questions. Positive thoughts girl, positive thoughts!!!!

It took me a full 24 hours for it to really sink in, I'm not too worried, I know my husband will do awesome!
If only they could give us a date!!!
