It will be difficult to practically compare as we haven't been to Canada yet...But in general sense the basic difference will be weather, topography and culture.... In terms of economic opportunity they should be close.... About PR success ratio it depends on many factors and given annual priority of intended areas of qualification (skilled category)... The processing time also not very shorter in AUS IMM and they have some different system of credential evaluation (by nominated bodies) of academic qualification prior to application... One specific area of difference in Aus IMM than Can IMM that the former considers foreign credential for federal/state job...
But I am sure plenty of resources available online to support your decision of application either of the country and at the end of day its exclusively your decision..... ALL THE BEST
What happens if you are required to attend interviews in both countries?
How will you send original documents with both applications ?
How could you send your passport to both countries when they require it (sometimes for lengthy periods)?

I guess Australian VO never ask for original documents except passports at the time for stamping. But Canadian VO ask for original IELTS and original POF which Australian VO does not demand. Only problem could arise when both PR applications are pending and both VOs demand passports at same time. Rest could be OK
Anyhow Thanks for valuable suggestions and discussions.
OHHH Great news.... it seems things are positively rolling ahead in Sydney CHC.... 2 good news in same days...
@ Congrats Cozi on getting your MR... Good on you that you didn't have to wait too long for it... All the very best... You can visit one of my share on my Medical exp done in Brisbane which might be of little useful for your context...
@ Congrats Sukh... after a long wait its turned into "In Process" for you and even earlier than I got PPR!! LOL... I am so happy for you mate... It means your paper based screening and point based evaluation is done and you are now can start counting days for MR
It would mean a mistake in ecas system. In other threads there have been a discussion about this issue and it appears that it must say the date in which the application is in process, not just RVBO. Hope I'm wrong.

Hi D
Its more than 6 months you have been passionately waiting for PPR since your Medical... Did you knock one or twice to CHC on what could be the reason taking so long for you? Any response did you receive on your query so far? It really worried me a lot that after having so long to wait for MR even I might have to wait again for PPR!!! I am badly needed the PPR in hand asap before my Visa expires here..... Pl keep me in your prayers and I will do the same for you..
@ fariza : Fariza same here my visa is expiring till the end of this year, that is why I was getting frustrated, as u know we all have made plans. Still wandering why Sydney is too slow on each and every stage, I appreciate ur patience. Hope to hear a good news from u within next couple of weeks.
