Congratulations to GIL for Visa and mikenz for landing....have completed my landing a month ago in Calgary and settled in too...now getting into Hospitality jobs is kind of a task in Calgary...things are moving but at a slow pace for me
Can i ask you about your visa issuance ? How long it take from you sent your passport until it returned to you ? You sent it via courier / register mail or in person ?
hi all, hope you people are doing well
just have a look at your posts, i wonder why you people are moving to canada, leaving australia. i've heard that australia is far better than canada in term of wages. would you please put some light on this so that it might get clear to me.

I am not from Australia, even further, NZ. And money does not really interest me anymore, I go for lifestyle and the fact that Canada is big and there is a lot to do. I am in Vancouver and just love it here! Since I have no children to look after, my wife and I just enjoy it here for ourselves. That is basically it. Over the past year or so, I got some flak here on the board for not having another reason, but circumstances are different for anyone of us, we wanted this, we could, therefore we did. Simple.

Hi Luqi...every individual has a different reason as rightly mentioned by mikenz.....you cannot compare 2 countries at all...mine was for obvious reasons of getting only 457 work visa compared to Canadian PR...Believe it or not few hardships initially which are minor hiccups in any foreign country but found Canadian lifestyle really friendly and adaptable. Very multicultural and natives accept you as opposed to Australia which accepts you a little slower.....
thanks a lot mikenz and abhijeet especially for this "Very multicultural and natives accept you as opposed to Australia which accepts you a little slower....."
Hi everyone
I would like to share a moment of joy that by grace of God we receive ppr1. We asked to submit our passports along with 2 photos asap if we are able to enter canada before 9september 2013. As our medical is expiring on 10th of sep 13.
As we are planing to enter before due time and we want to submit passports in person to CHC.
I would like to ask if anyone know where to submit pasports and if they accept pasprts in person and once we submit it how we receive it by post or can we collect in person.
