Did you get any update? We gave the passport to the agency (gardeshgaran in Shiraz) 8 days ago and haven't heard anything yet, no tracking number nothing. Should we start following up?

Yes
You needed to ask the agency to give you the tracking number immediately after your due passport submission date at VAC. By that number I figuerd out that my wife's passport was picked up yesterday by the representative however because it is friday we couldn't contact Gardeshgaran for more info. By the way, they lied about the time they droped off the passport. it was 3 days later than what they said when it was receieved by the vac which we could find out using the same tracking no.

We haven't received any update yet. However, we sent the passport through Persiatour agency in ghodusi gharbi st (shiraz) They send passports to nilgaam agency in tehran which is a very reliable one for canada visas. They told us it takes 1-3 weeks. We should follow with the agency tomorrow which is open

Hello All, Just want to give our update after PPR as we are from Shiraz as well.

The passport was dropped off on Sept 25th to the travel agent and appears to have arrived in Ankara on Oct 1 based on the tracking number. I just called the VAC and was told that the passport is still being processed at the Embassy. I'm hoping it gets sent back to the VAC by the end of this week.

Good luck to everyone else - Hopefully we all hear some good news soon.

I'm May applicant and my process started on August 6 at Ankara, but when I read many comments in many forums, I can say that the Ankara Office has an average of 5 months from the date the file was processed.
