Bad news Guys ! Processing time has been incresed from 50 to 51 months in Ankara:

but still this is not so bad if we compare with a New-Dehli (59 months) or Beijing (54 months)

How is it counted - from the initial date of application or after the file have been transferred from Mississauga?

Canadian Embassy in Ankara issues visas for 300 people per year (even not for 300 families !!). Until today, the backlog in Ankara is about 1500 applications (check out the links in this topic). So, the average time is about ~ 5 years.

I got the respond back from Ankara as below:
The medical forms have not been sent to you yet because they are in the queue to be sent. You will receive them some time later, we can not tell you when exactly but most probably in early 2014 the medical forms will be sent to you via e-mail.
I am thinking to ask my parents to do the medical test around Dec 2013. Do you thinck it will work?

How they can do the medical test around december 2013 if they will get the medical forms only in 2014 ? As far as I know, they must arrive to the doctor with the medical forms...

That's right. You can't get your medical done without the immigration forms.

I think it won't work. Especially these days there are barcodes on the medical forms and the pictures that your parents sent to the embassy with all applications. In worst case scenario, you will lose the money or the doctor will refuse to schedule an appointment... Keep us posted !

I do not think so, because of the strike in Canadian embassy in Ankara... In addition the mess in Syria and around it, can delay the process of issuing visas in Ankara as well...
