am I a Canadian Citizen....Plz Help!!!

Hello

I came to Canada in Dec 2000. I stayed in Canada through out. I applied for a citizenship and I was sworn in on April 26, 2006.
I married in 2005 and had a son in 2005 outside Canada. I am trying to find out if he is citizen or not.

Here are the details that are shown on my Canadian Citizenship card:
My date of birth, sex, height
another date (2004-06) and color of eyes

Can anyone tell from this data what is my date of citizenship?

How can I find the exact date of my citizenship?

Is it the date you are sworn in?

I will appreciate the replies.

The date, (yy,mm) is the day you became a citizen, as for your other question, no your kid is not a canadain citizen. You will need to sponsor your family under PR - Family Class and they will need to be a PR for 3 or more years before they can apply for citizenship.

I agree, sorry your son is not Canadian as you did not receive your Citizenship before his birth!

I am confused....what date you guys are refering to:
The date I was sworn in (4-2006)
or the date on the citizehsip card (6-2004)

When did you apply for Citizenship?

I am not sure when did I apply (may be april 2004) but I took oath on Arpil 26-2006

On mine, I just followed the date that was shown on the Citizenship Certificate (the 8' x 11' paper) that was given to us. It said the Month Day, Year. I think it's somewhere near the bottom right corner of the paper.
