Sorry, I'm not interested about study yet. I've landed last April. So, I've no experience about it.
I learned from other people that, all citizens and permanent residents have access to govt financing for education. There is also a
Immigrant Access Fund, providing financial support for immigrants, in addition to the govt fund. See: www.iafcanada.org/

If you check with provincial govt sites, you will get good information.

Another advice, don't only look for College/University courses. In a workshop, I heard about a Bangladeshi guy who joined a 4 year long graduation program, with a view to land a job in a certain occupation. But after 3 years, he realized that, if he had gone through a 1 week training and utilized his previous job experience in Bangladesh, he could have already landed that job. So, look for alternatives also.

Best wishes

Thank you..
Please let me know if we land as a permanent resident and join a university for graduate studies, are we eligible for any sort of financial support from the government?

There is Canada- Saskatchewan integrated student loan and grant program for which on sask website it was mentioned one needs to be in the province for the last 12 months.
Regards

Hi
Is there anyone to help. I ve some questions:
For SINP both the EE and OID stream follow the same occupation list of Saskatchewan? Which occupation is suitable for electrical engineers?
Which stream is preferable? I wd ppreciate ur reply. Thanks..

Brother have you got your passports back? Which dates in April'2018 are you considering to fly?
Thanks
Yet to get the PP back. Waiting to get any update. No dates are finalised. Have you planned any date? Let us discuss and try to accompany eachother. Atleast we won't be feeling bore in this long journey. Which airlines will you be flying with? I am thinking of Turkish.

Dear seniors

I am currently in toronto for a short stay. I will recieve my pr card after at least 60 days (according to few people who have reveive the pr card recently).

Now i am returning to dhaka in few days without pr card. My friend will receive the card on my behalf and will send me accordingly ( i heard this is illegal)

Now my question is - when i will be back to canada with my PR card in future, will any authority (immigration officer or citizenship authority) question me how i have received my pr card (since i left canada before i receive my pr card and i am sure they maintain all the records) ???

Do i need to inform the authority upfront that i need to go back to BD for some urgency without my PR card???

Nerd your suggestion

Thanks

Safir Bhai,
I think you should look for house/flat 2-3 months before you land. April 2018 is a bit far from now.

Meanwhile, I suggest you post your queries here, so that everyone can learn & share.
Ppl who have already landed can provide you the best advice, I guess.

Meanwhile, have a look at this blog post: http://immigrationandsettlement.org/BlogPost/50701af1-5104-40ac-8886-ac4a62d040e8

Best wishes
