I will post an update as soon as our MP sends me any news. She already sent a correspondence with CIC last fruday so I'm hoping to hear from them this week...but to receive a PPR email will be twice as great.. well good luck everyone

She was extremely helpful and pleasant. She said that she would get back to me by tomorrow afternoon, maybe even as early as this afternoon! Funny thing is that while I was chatting with her I received a reply from Ottawa to the email I sent on May 16: "You will be contacted by the visa office Ottawa". Not really helpful...
On another note, she said that many people have no idea how helpful an MP can be and go to an immigration lawyer or consultant instead who charge them nails and teeth. However, MPs should be a last resort. We don't want to abuse the system.

The application has been finalized on May 13, 2014, and the constituent was approved for permanent residence.
The confirmation of permanent residence visa should be printed shortly and sent to the client with instructions.

Guys the MP called me back already and it was approved!!!! I am so happy I feel like crying. She said that everything was processed and approved by CIO Sydney but Ottawa are the ones sending the papers. She said that if I don't hear from them within 4 weeks I have to talk to her again. I'm so relieved but I really cannot wait to be done with the process

The funny thing is that I already know I am approved through a reply from Sydney. So, I am not sure now how the MP would help.

Mine activated at 5 PM and I got my passport back within 3 working days ( they received on Wednesday and the tracker was activated on Monday) I ding know why it is taking so long for you guys but at the same time I DM positive that you'll get it back by the end of this month !!!
