I might indeed get an email before CoPR but it's been over 2 months already so I am not expecting much quite frankly. I talked to the MP's assistant who set up an appointment with me on Monday. She just told me to bring my passport and any papers from CIC (email with AOR). I'm also going to bring a screenshot of my ecas with decision made and a copy of the emails I sent. She was quite pleasant and assured me they would inquire.
Thanks for the details. I'll wait for another 2 weeks and if nothing comes through, will do the same.

can somebody help me please what is the number to call for cic edmonton to make an appointment for landing while am waiting for passport to arrive. honestly speaking i dont know which border would be near for me so am deciding to do landing at my local cic..
You need to call the general CIC call center, not the office where you want to land. I don't know if you can make an appointment before you have all the documents. Let us know.
Just need some help here. I have one of my friend, he needs to do the landing. He does not have a car, Can he reach the landing place by public transport ? Moreover where we need to do this ? I mean he is in Calgary what is the nearest border to do landing ?
Ok. The PNP application get processed in CIO-Sydney till Decision Made stage. Only the PPR comes from Ottawa or the visa office you requested. Email CIO regarding your applications but be ready to wait 20-30 days for the reply. They are not as quick as Ottawa in replying to emails.
I have seen GCMS notes of a completed case and according to them, my friend received AOR in November 2013 (which said application is forwarded to visa office) but his file was processed in CIO till May 2014 (until DM).
now i know thanks for clarifying this to me i already send them an email but no response but thats ok as long that everyone have the same its fine with me i cant wait cause i thought from the moment they send you that they will transfer the files it means that they will transfer it as soon as possible

I was confused about this too. When I saw "forwarded to visa office" in my AOR, I assumed they sent the file to Ottawa. So I sent my police certificates to Ottawa, and because of that my case got delayed by 5 months. I am glad I could prevent someone from making my mistake Best wishes!

The issue is that there is no public transportation to the border in Alberta. I heard that Sweetgrass/Coutts is the best port of landing: friendlier than the other one. However, you need your own car. Can he rent a car? I would gladly give me a ride if I got my COPR this week but I doubt it's going to happen. If the only option is public transport then he needs to take the Greyhound to BC and cross to Washington state. He should look into landing in Calgary. You can book an appointment but I have read somewhere on this site that it can take months to have an appointment.
