After sending passport, how long does CIC take to stamp the PR visa?

they already received my passport on 27 Dec. Does anyone know when I'll receive my passport because I have flight on 20Jan

I sent my passport in early December to the Consulate General of Canada in Sydney, Australia and I got an email saying that it was received and being looked at by a visa officer on December 5th but I haven't heard anything since...most likely because of the Christmas holiday season.

Hopefully I hear back in January.

Hi i got email from canada visa office saying my passport has been dispatchon jan 08. You can track status of application through our website.taracking number 20171221npktppt17106 but didn't mention New Delhi. I send my passport at new dehli. Im worried y it didn't mention New dehli visa office. Hope i got visa stamped . Anyone experience same?

I called CIC and they told me passport was sent to get visa printed on it.

Still waiting.

Are we supposed to get a confirmation email when they receive our passport?.
I sent my passport on Dec 22 to the office in Ottawa. Thanks to the tracking number I know that it was delivered on Dec 27, but I don't know if they have to confirm when they receive since many of you have mentioned a confirmation email.

I don't think we get any confirmation email because i send mine as well and i only know its delivered.

You can call cic and ask them but usually it takes 3-4 weeks and once your tracking number is activated you will vet notification.

My passport was delivered on December 20! Still no update on it!
I think once the application is approved , you will get your passport post that!

Timeline differs from person to person is what i have seen so far from the responses posted!
