Not yet they request additional documents 4 months ago they are completely silent we send application in September 2017
But dont stress your self base on my application you maybe done soon who knows
I think over all they are too busy because ircc just start app for parents and grandparents they work place is getting squeeze by government

Did you receive a pre-arrival notice since your file was transferred to New Delhi or checked if your Security Check has started?
If it has when was that?

I am wondering how long security check takes in LLVO.

Thanks for the info. I think you have it mixed up though. Criminality is the one where they check police clearance etc. But security is where they check with 3rd party agencies in other countries - this is the longest step (all this info is from my MP).

Even if the weekends don’t line up, it shouldn’t matte because everything’s electronic. Government in afg sends info to Canadian immigration who then reviews it on their own time. Anyways I think it just takes long cuz they do more checks cuz we’re Afghan.

Gov in Afg doesn't send jack $hit. They can't even move a single paper without bribes; they would never respond to administrative requests. This is a reason why third party agencies are hired to do these checks and it takes time. If they did respond or were good partners then these cases probably have moved much faster.
