Admission Prospects to MSc Program (Thesis) Based Comapred to MEng

I want to discuss admission prospects to MSc Program (Thesis Based) compared to MEng (Course Based) in Canada for International students.

Is it more competitive to secure admission to MSc program than MEng?

Can people discuss their own experiences who have applied to both MSc and MEng, what is their opinion?

M.Sc Thesis is certainly more competitive then M.Eng. because in most cases u will need supervisor , GRE and research experience in thesis based....

MASc is very competitive. work experience in corporate and high percentage do not count as much as research experience, publications, papers do.
Professor letting is very important and mailing them about your research plan and your present exp. in relation to that, you have to explain. go through the prof's website and write how you can fit into their group. please do not pick up anything off the net when you write to them, you might be shoved off for plagiarism.
