ACADEMIC UPGRADING

Good day, Asking for advice. I am working here in Abu Dhabi and applied as an international student in NAIT Alberta under the program of Business Administration. But unfortunately I was refused from the program due to lack of requirements because I only earned 30units from my Post Secondary institution in the Philippines. Now they advise me to undergo an Academic Upgrading which apparently I already have an offer of Admission. But the questions is do I have obtain a study permit even the Academic Upgrading program will only take 15weeks of study. Hope to hear some good advice. Thank you

You don't strictly need a study permit, but should apply for one anyways because otherwise you would have to leave Canada to apply for your business course, whereas if you get a study permit now you can simply apply to extend it in Canada.
