My girlfriend was admitted to Canada on a 2-year study permit for a diploma program with an ESL component last April. She is completing her ESL component in March as she has been accepted to a degree program in the fall (she is upgrading).
I will be sponsoring her for PR and an OWP at the beginning of May. So also perhaps her study permit would not become invalid before then (90 day rule?) and she would have implied status? Or would she need a TRV?
