Submitted passport in Muscat VFS on 21st February 2019. CIC Abu Dhabi received passport on 24th February 2019.
Still no news!!
VFS tracking says "Documents for Visa application, tracking ID xyz are under process at the Canada Visa Office, ABU DHABI. "

Anyone submitted their passport in Muscat VFS and got it back within two weeks?

CIC PPR letter says to contact CIC only after 30 days have passed, is the 30 days from the time you submit the passport in the VFS office? OR is it from the time CIC receives the passport?

Okay, seems they are taking long for everyone. Im just worried about my medical exam expiration date as it will be expiring on the 10th of April. Not sure if they will ask for redo?

Same is with me, I submitted my passport on 21st February at the Dubai VFS, I am still waiting, still no response. I visited VFS yesterday, and they said that, the 30 days are counted only as business days, which shall be completed by Thursday 4th April. Also they said there was some outage in the embassy for a day or 2 so thats to be considered as well. Anyways, my friends who submitted on 24th got theirs back, but I guess its just a matter of time as it seems me and you aren't the only ones in this situation. Also, I had raised a Case Specific Enquiry to IRCC, they just mentioned that the documents are with the relevant VO and shall get back to you.

Guys, is there any action we can take (people who have been waiting for their passports for more than 30 days)?

I called both VFS and ADVO, none helped. Raising a CSE apparently gets you a generic reply.

Same here bro, I did e-mail ADVO too through IRCC as they do not reply to direct mails, still the same generic response. The wait time is ridiculous!!
