Hello everyone -
It has been 4 months since we have paid landing fee in September 2012...how much longer do we need to wait before they ask for our passports? whats going on? any thoughts??
ps. Medical will be expired in a week....and no news.
Did they ask you to redo your medical or you just did it to be safe?? I hope it will be a faster process..and thank you tink23 not sure they want to extend the medicals or do interviews..either way I hope we hear something from them soon. its taking forever!
Is it OK to go ahead and redo the whole medical when 1 year have already passed so that you have it ready when they ask for it (in a way it is like the medical one does before one sent out the application in the begining)?
well you could - but from what I understood I wouldn't do it unless requested..bcz the officer might just extend your previous medical record and so there is no need to go through all that again. plus if they do ask for it you can get it done in one day. its not a big deal.

Well it is true that my wife can do it on one day, but it takes about a week for the Medical Office to sent the result to Manila where they process it and the Singapore VO gets the result from them. The way I see it, it will save us one month.
If someone has done it prior to the visa office asking for it, then I could be sure.

The reason no one has, is because if they ask you for it, THAT is when you do it. Otherwise it's just a waste of good money because they can (and will) extend medicals. We didn't even know my husbands was extended until he got his COPR.

I used a representative and in the Forms, I put the representative's e-mail address (as well as his mailing address). He didn't even notify me when I got the approval of stage 1 (I found out after 2 weeks when I bumped into him).
I wish I could change the contact information now.

Actually you can cancel the use of the representative, all you have to do is fill out a form and send it to cic then change the contact information!-the form is (use of a representative)IMM 5476E-You don't have to put up with him if you don't want to!-all the best

To cancel use of a representative, do I need the representative's signature also or just me and my spouse's signature is fine? My stage 1 approval is done. So, how should I sent it?
When we sent the package, me, my spouse and the representative all signed form imm 5476 and I marked the representative as a paid rep.
