I called IRCC biweekly since my account reached 100% in July ,My MPs office reached out and i was told all assesments have been completed ,file awaiting decision ,called again september 5 ,agent said my decision could come in that day or December ,i said God forbid .Decision made same day ,i was a real pain calling . I do not think there is any harm in calling to ask for updates on your file ,after all its your file.

My portal doesnt have a progressing bar. I dont know how much is remaining. Unless is only Security.
Last week I called to IRCC and complete rude agent asked me when was the last time I called them. I wanted to tell him that I can call everyday if I want and They have to answer. But I dont want to jeopardize my file. But is unfair some agents are rude. They are not waiting long time far from families like us.

24 months min wait it is useless to call them everyday as nothing can be change that way better wait patiently as calling can't expedite processing as they are working in batch so it will complete as batch number will arrive Good luck

I claimed asylum with my family in 2022, and it was accepted. We applied for Permanent Residence on August 23rd, 2022. Recently, we received Portal 2, but we have not yet received the eCOPR.

My question is regarding our home country passports. When we claimed asylum, IRCC collected our passports, but my wife's passport has since expired. In this case, do we need to apply for a new passport, or is it not required? I am quite confused and would appreciate any guidance on this matter.

I submitted my application September 2022. Received pal and eligibility in November 2023. Status bar reached 100% august 21 2024. No updates since, only that message. I have a friend who has been waiting since April 2024 with the same message in their account. They applied May 2022

Is there anything one can do in this case other than just wait?

One of the main things about claiming asylum is never to use your country's passport.

Your asylum could be affected if you apply or use your home passport.

You'll need a travel document to travel out of Canada but never to your home country.

I am a November 2022 applicant, I have seen that September and October 22 have been processed here, so, November should be next. Though, processing time has crossed to 25 months, but I am very optimistic.

All items completed except Security as usual.

I also applied in the middle of November and gotten pre arrival around April 2024. nothing heard since then

I submitted it on September 11th but still nothing. I don't understand most of people are receiving within a 2/3 days

yah i think it depend on the office and officer. I seen people got in 2/3 days and others waited 2-3 weeks for it. I think it depend on when IRCC decide to send it.
