What you have to do is to choose the option for PR applications, then choose any option when they ask with which letter your application begins. And then when they ask you for your file number just press #. Then they will ask for your year of birth. After you've entered the year they will say they were not able to find your application and then you will be offered several options including the one to speak to an agent, which is 0. That's the way I did it and it worked fine.

Hi can you add:

july 26, reveived a request letter via email to send my spouse's option C printout for 2014-2016. I faxed it on the same day.

august 4, receieved another email containing i met the sponsor eligiblity requirements and the file has been forwarded to CPC-Ottawa.

if you are entering your UCI...it would be your information i.e. your DOB, Country of birth and last name

It will take around 30-35 days to have your Ecas updated with "Application received" , but if you are lucky, it could be early.
If you are entering your UCI, use your family name, DOB and country of birth, not your mother's info. If you are using Receipt # or your mother's UCI, use her info. Good Luck.

2- Has anyone got their application back for not-complete reasons? If yes, how long did that take?

Hi, as from today, I can access ECAS and see the "application received" status. So, this is AOR for me. Please, update the spreadsheet.

P.S. I was also able to link the application to the sponsored person's online account

i tried every possible combination to link the app. For weeks...nothing. Even spoke on the phone with them and they told me to keep trying eventually it will work....nice answer

I used Family Name, Given Name and Date of Birth. As mentioned before, what's tricky is the "Number of family members, including the primary applicant, that are part of this application". At first, I thought it would be as question 3 under Application Details on IMM-0008, which is "1" in our case. But, it worked with "3" instead, which I guess is sponsor + co-signer + principal applicant. So, try with different numbers here.

For me, it only worked today (36 days after the application was received by CIC), which is the same day as I was able to check it on ECAS. So, if it's not on ECAS yet, it won't be found to be linked.
