I received the email from CIC today asking for additional documents. it is very weird because CIC asks for my spouse's original Option C print for 2014-2016, but both I and my spouse selected "yes" in the question on financial evaluation form and provided the sin cards and our signature to authorize CIC to check our record from CRA. Not sure why they still want us to send the Option C prints. Anyone experienced the same issue?
I called CRA and was told I can simply print the Option C from my CRA online account. Just did and mailed them out to CIC.

I think as long as you have proof of receipt you should be good. If the envelope is still not open it may not be in their system.
I suggest that you call them again and ask to investigate, give them the name of whoever signed, or get your MP to do this on your behalf.

My MP said...they have sent all info to CIC and waiting for their response. Should i start working on new application package? It will take some time to gather all documents

I would advice you to sent an e-mail to CIC for inquiry about your application. attach the proof of delivery. This e-mail will be a proof to support if you have to apply later than 4th Aug. So far you have only called them , better to have a proof.
I think keeping back up would be a safe option. you will save some courier time there if you have to re-apply. Do it if it's just time at stake and not much trouble. But there are still 50-50 chances that you may not have to use that re-worked package. Wish you good luck.

exactly same. they only ask for my co-sponsor's option C. not both. did you both also tick "yes" on the form to give them authorization? the letter of mine was sent by officer ZKA
it doesn't make sense to me because both of us have signed conscent on the form to authorize CIC to retrieve our information from CRA directly. If they have question, shouldn't they investigate with CRA directly instead asking application to submit the printed copy as proof?
