This is last year guide. On the top it says that there is a new procedure for 2017. What a mess!

The carrier address proberly is not the worst thing. If the wrong forms are used, that certainly needs to be worried.

Did you see your credit card charged before you got the AOR? What was the timeline?

i just spoke with CIC call centre agent and she confirmed me multiple times that this is the correct address.

The carrier address proberly is not the worst thing. If the wrong forms are used, that certainly needs to be worried.

The forms were different (in May) and then recently they updated the forms (in june). Well, using May forms is also not a problem as people who sent their applications in may already got AOR and sponsorship approvals.
I also sent the application using the forms which i downloaded in May (after getting invitation email). Hope for the best.

How long it will take to show another status or something like approval or decision made ? What is the next status after "application received". I think the cases of some friends have advanced to next level. So can someone respond to my queries ?

if you are using your UCI (Sponsor) you will see 2 status. One is sponsorship application and other is PR application of your Parent(s). You should see both Application Received. Once your Sponsorship is approved 1st status will changed to Decision Made. You will get e-mail with Result File no and UCI for your parents.

Once you use your File no then you will see one status that is PR application of your Parent(s).

didn't receive any AOR. I directly got my Sponsorship Approval e-mail.

Yes, cleared now. I can see two Application Received statuses.

So you got AOR and Decision Made(Sponsorship Approval) on the same day, right ? Woww! Lucky you are.

how did you send your application? Through courier or regular mail?

I sent it through Canada Post Express service with a return signature option. I was able to see the signature of the receiver next day.

I saw Double AR's, after one week they changed to DM and IP. Then I got an email that says the sponsorship has been approved. Never got any AOR letter.

Unfortunately the address is wrong according to the guide this year. Also in the past years, individuals physically can't deliver the package. This year is different, hope you have no problems to get in.

How is the address wrong? Either address will work. They only gave the physical address as couriers dont deliver to PO boxes. The PO Boxes is for Canada Post but even if you sent it through Canada Post, it still goes to one address. The difference is, the PO address wont get a signature. They still dont accept packages from individuals. Only from couriers.

I sent by Canada post regular with sugnature and succeeded with the sigunature done. People had the experience in previous years that they didn't follow the exact what the guide tells you and the right forms and got rejected. One person I know used couriers address and 3 weeks passed, still no sign of whereabouts of the package. Also some people got in by using that address. And that Po box has no siganiture is wong. Why would somebody thinks the po box for CIC is the same size as your house mail box and nobody is attending to? So it was just a reminder that says the differences between this year and the previous years.
Anyway, let's move on. Whatever you do, hope for the best.

The PO box is a box in post office where CPC-M is renting from CanadaPost closest to their location. If you go the canada post offices, you will see those boxes but CPC-M have a bigger box of their own that they rent from Canada Post. The address has always been the same ever since, I know this because I work practically 2minutes WALK from the cpc-m office. It's across the street of my work. My husband works for ups and at my work I handle logistics which includes Canada Post & couriers contracts that why I know this. Those that used couriers and no sign of whereabouts of the packages is simply the courier's mistake not because of the address. The reason for two addresses: 1. Couriers are not allowed to deliver to PO boxes because it is intended only for Canada Post. 2. Couriers when delivering to commercial businesses always requires signature thus the physical address is provided so if you got a signature, it is actually a cpc-m employee signature. The PO box does not guarantee signature. If you got a signature it is most likely from a canada post employee that collected all the packages that goes to cpc-m po box. The rule did not change. The 2 robert speck still dont accept non-courier deliveries.
