Anybody know how long it take after background progress status change in progress

It is probably diffrent per visa office and case by case. One person i know had same visa office as me had background check done in month and in my case already 2 months gone no change.

I hope it will be faster here forward cuz 2011 cases seems to be benched for month of January. There was hardly any activity. Hopefully they will start picking up our files.

Anybody know how long it take after background progress status change in progress

In my case, it took around 30 to 40 days.

my parents (mother and father, no dependents) living in India, Medical done in India, and PCC obtained in India and submitted Online. and their PR is being processed in CIC- Ottawa.

Thet have submitted PCC (i have uploaded via mycic/dashboard (GCkey)) and Medical Test were uploaded via eMedical.

both of them were Submitted on 22nd Dec 2016.
Status changed to In Progress on 3rd Feb 2017.

looks like in the week of 29th Jan 2017, A background check is needed: changed from " Not Started" to "In Progress"

By any chance, have you linked your application to MyCiC? If yes, does it show background check 'in progress' there..just trying to access if CIC starts background check process without updating MyCiC status.

looks like "background check" field gets updated.

I ham 100% confident about it. in my case around 6th Jan 2017 i had a screen capture, and later in Feb i had a screen capture and i see this field changed from Not started to In progress

Hi ... Harman..What could be reason for DNA testing? What is age difference between you and your brother'?

I know couple families ,who did DNA testing. the reason behind was ...sponser and dependent has big age gap...

We are 5 years apart. The only thing is I did my schooling the whole time in Hostel and he did at my parents place.Other than that I couldn't see any reason.

Cic call mu parents today and asked about passport information,like my brother has new passport so asked my bro date of birth,place of birth and same for my mom , dad and said we will make decision soon .

Now i check cic status ,it now decision made on permanent staus . So what that mean .so now they will ask passport . Any body know after decision made how long they take for passport request. Or they still can ask something else .
