Not quite. Trump is basically prepared to hand over Ukraine to Russia. Not sure anyone is defining being taken over as a hostile power as peace.

Да так и было. Первым был запрос на биометрию а потом AOR letter. Сама удивлена

Thank God, war may be over soon, but many Ukrainians lost everything back home. Canada is their home now.

Canada is not a guaranteed home for Ukrainians who are mostly on WPs and also may not be the desired home for many. Many view Canada as a temporary home and wish to be reunited with family in Ukraine. Also don’t have an obvious or easy pathway to PR.

Hi Everyone, yesterday we finally received conditional approval under this program. Applied on the first day of the program opening. The conditions are as follows: 1) Provide military service history (if applicable). 2) Current financial information such as employment letter. Quote: "You must provide evidence that you made arrangements for your care and support. Your application for permanent residence could be refused if you are not self-supporting.".

The act you are quoting doesn’t mean you still can’t be denied PR based on proof that you won’t be able to support yourself.

I disagree. canuck78 is right. Based on what section of IRPA or IRPR would they be denied? Under the policy there is an exemption (A39 of IRPA) which is inadmissible for Financial Reasons. So not sure why are they asking for financial proof other than the letter is being generated automatically. It might be for stats purposes or to issue a formal written exemption.
The principal applicant and their family members must not be inadmissible (other than an inadmissibility on financial grounds, as per section 39 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act [IRPA]). I'm sure there are a lot of elderly applicants in this program that have retired and are not working. This is a humanitarian family reunification program.

They still need to show how they will support themselves financially. Their inability to support themselves does not guarantee refusal but ability to survive financially without government help is typically part of any H&C program.

Please note that Health Management Branch (HMB) will only accept an immigration medical performed by one of the designated medical practitioners.

Given the processing times is years and medical is only good for a year IRCC may delay the request so you don’t have to repeat the medical.

we applied in 2023 and haven't done medical yet. I'm just saying that the forms for the medical haven't been sent by them

I know but no point in sending the forms if processing will take so long that it will expire and have to be done again.

Why would it take long if we basically got conditional approval already?
