Thats the point. If NATO cannot intervene in a conflict in its own backyard (though they share it with Russia too), will America and its allies intervene in other places? It brings NATO and especially US down few pegs..

Two or three years back, I would have laughed at a global pandemic. Its more of a never say never world these days. But I do believe a global war is certainly not in China's favour atleast. Question is, will they put economy or geopolitics first?

Erdogan also needs to show his cards soon where he is sanding as a NATO member. Turkey has already been asked to close Bosphorus and don't let Russian warships pass by.
