I am assuming it has been 3 full business days since you sent the request and yet no response?
Maybe means they don’t need anything from you. Like in my case my cc information was incorrect so I had to update it. Has your cc been charged? If you are worried, you can call and get an update? But if your application is perfect and no issues, I think all they will send for the status update will be your tracking info when your passport and certificate is sent.
i still did not received it and i am totally worried and nervous i called them many times the tracking number they gave me is not activated with Canada post, im so worried about it if they lost it or something there is high risk they lose it
I am in the same boat i took my passport on the 11th Feb from local office still till now i did not received my certificate i called them many times they gave me a tracking number not activated with Canada post all of them they say it will come after two weeks a week is gone already i am so frustrated and worried and the agents on the phone they do not know anything if I did not receive it i will file a complaint and see what's gonna happen there is a high risk they lose it or they misplaced it or whatever reason the worst part of it is applying for new one will cost 75 bucks and 15 months waiting. and absolutely no one cares if passport Canada lost it.
Please let me know when you receive the certificate back.

Request file transfer to Mississauga office on 14th Feb since I needed to travel to US on 21st Feb
Got call from them on 16th Feb- Asked to fax hotel accommodation proof and asked for CC details to charge 95$ (45$ for file transfer & 50 for express puck up) and asked to pick passport on 18th Feb
They charged CC on 17th Feb
Picked up passport on 18th Feb
Received Canadian Citizenship certificate today
Mailed in received by Ottawa on Jan 14

Just received a response from a status update I requested saying the file is approved and the passport will be mailed shortly.
Hello everyone, i became citizen on 14th January, and I submitted a passport application on 8th feb in passport office and requested for urgent processing, on the 10th feb the day of the pick up, I was told it has to go through second verification with CIC passport entitlement.

Sent passport application by fed ex. It arrived January 4th.
Credit card charged January 13th.
I called today and was told that my ID (copy of drivers license) was not signed by guarantor on the back side. Was signed on front only.
February 2nd is when they stopped working on it. They admitted they didn’t call to tell me.
Now I have to fax them my id signed by guarantor and wait three more weeks before it might be complete.
I’m not travelling, but I really want the passport to prove citizenship.
Btw, when I called, there were no calls in front of mine. I tried calling before today and there were over 70 calls before me.
So, it seems the passport is now taking more than 30 days to be issued by mail. Before I saw some getting it in 2 weeks. Even passport Canada has a backlog. What's the story?
