My ecas also shows decision made but the CIC citizenship tracker shows overall application as in progress and oath invitation is yet to start.
Also I keep reading about passport request. What is it about? Why does Canadian immigration require our non Canadian passport to process citizenship? Could someone please help explain this step?

I received the email in late december. You will get it soon. Probably just delayed due to the holidays.
Good News! At least I am progressing. I was shocked the language, physical presence and Prohibitions updates were done on Saturday 8th January 2022!
Now the waiting begins for Citizenship Oath.

I contacted my local MP 3 months ago. The only answer I got "IRCC is still working on it, COVID-19, refugees form Afghanistan.. Please be patient"
If your processing time didn't exceed 1.5 years, they don't escalate or help much
