Looking for advice here. My kids have been living with my parents back home for about 6 years now, my parents just got their visa approved couple days ago, would it be smart to include my parents in the kids application? I mean can we say that they will be following my parents to canada when they visit.

Yes indeed, i guess if the application is complete they process it super fast and i applied for my mother from Pakistan.

Hi all. In the new portal i do not see a section to upload upfront medicals. should i submit this via a webform? The application only asks for the numbers (UMI/IME). Thanks in advance.

Hi All - Joining this thread as I have been waiting for my parents visitor visa to be approved since long. Timeline as below:

- Applied through GC key: August'2020 (that's right last year)
- Biometrics completed: August 10, 2021
- Re-applied through new IRCC portal: October 22,2021 (Status showing Background check in progress since then)
- PPR waiting

Can someone please explain if there is anything we can do to expedite this? Called the IRCC customer contact center but they're not entertaining any calls. Any help from the experts here will be highly appreciated.

No way to expedite. Are you their representative? You can raise a webform but a response can take a month.

i have couple of quick questions, when you for apply/applied for your parent/parents, are you selecting the option "use of a rep", cos my mom cannot do this by herself and i have to do it for her. If yes do we also have to select the release of personal info option? Appreciate your answers and help
