I think it will depend on what kind of business you will do as self-employed person in Canada. For example, a business plan of freelance translator (me ) and a photographer will be different, as I basically only need a room + laptop + good internet connection to earn my money.

I believe it depends in your type and volume of biz you that you plan to operate in Canada. This should be clarified clearly in the biz plan attached in the application you submitted.

Seeking help - I want to send a webform inquiry to IRCC, but on this page, I CANNOT find the Self-employed Application Type... after choosing Permanent Resident (applied by mail), there are only 5 types of application to choose from, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skill Worker, Quebec Selected Skill Worker, Skill Trade Class, Provincial Nominee...

I contacted our local office and they advised me to send the file to the same place I sent my application.
I submitted my application via regular mail and not by email. So I don't know how I can contact them online if I don't have an AOR yet...

I think you can quote your temp file number for that purpose.

2021-10-09: Invitation pre-arrival letter.
2021-10-20: PPR.
2021-10-21: Passport shipped via FedEx.
2021-10-25: Delivered on Ottawa.

Waiting for the passports shipping back.
