Im waiting for VO ottawa too. No email since jan 2021, no re medical request either. COPR expired in June 2020.

I’m hoping we will get a response soon from VO Ottawa.

Oh! You arent supposed to do upfront medicals. The ultimatum email specifically says not to do upfront medicals.

True. Even I am waiting for instructions from IRCC and holding on to Medical’s

No one knows in general, especially not for a specific VO. A few people are saying approx a month from remeds to ppr but this is all very new still. Its only been a few days since they sent out mass ultimatum emails for the first time. It will be November before we have a better picture on the timelines and even then it might vary on a case to case basis.

Okay. I am pre March 2020 copr holder. My ultimatum email came in Jan 2021 itself. So remeds got updated recently. Which is why I'm curious?

When did you get remed request? When was it updated? If its updated soon, it should be pretty soon I imagine.

Remed request came in May. But ircc waited for my old one to expire so they asked to get a new one in Sept . Got updated on Sept 25th

Hello folks,
Is it worthwhile to wait for re-medical request from IRCC or do an upfront medical (after responding to the ultimatum email)? Will submitting an upfront medical report shorten the waiting time to receive PPR for expired COPR holders.
