From where you have applied and have you applied with sponsorship or hotel booking??

Hi Guys, I have applied visitor visa application for my parents on 16th August, 2021 and completed their biometrics on 9th September, 2021. So, far I have not heard anything from CIC. Raised web form twice to ask if I should apply again after reading 7th September guidelines. I was wondering if any of you have faced similar situation and decided to apply again using new portal ??? Did anyone got any success with new portal ?? I see one person go approval in 3 weeks. Thank you in advance!

im about to submit one for my mom-- were you required to upload a picture somehwere? For most applications i have ever done pictures are required but i dont see that option here

I see you have the honduran flag. Im from Honduras in Canada (canadian citizen). I applied for my mom in Honduras.
1 application: june 9th 2021
Biometrics: june 22th 2021
Webform: August 23th 2021
Automated reponse of webform: September 7th 2021
Email the Visa office in Mexico: September 15h 2021
2nd application via the portal: September 25th 2021
Reponse from the Visa office in Mexico: September 28th 2021 to tell me my mom's (old) application is in process.

it depends on your application. On their application, I told them I will shoulder everything so I uploaded mine as a primary. But we also uploaded theirs for supporting docs only

My parents application got approved in 20 days. Check my timeline post

Another question,did you create an account for yourself in the new ircc portal and apply for them or did you create their account and apply like it was them applying?

Can we still use the new portal to apply if there is no sponsor in Canada and purpose of visit is tourism?

They created their own account. I help them in submitting the files.

I am not really sure about this but I know that they only encourage those who does have an immediate family to apply
